All the amount of time to reach this place was about 1.5hrs of train, bus and walking, but the experience was worth it 🙂
I went after had Ikumi Mama’s Animal Doughnuts for breakfast that day, I knew I’ll need a lot of energy to reach this place that’s why I had sweet stuff for breakfast, yea yea always find excuses hahaha xD
Quite a lot of automotive enthusiast will plan a visit to Nissan Operation Centre at Zama for their massive collections when they were in Tokyo. The tour is free of charge, it is super easy to get there as long as you have a phone with Google Map app or any app that can show you which bus to get to the closest stop from the train station (Minami-Rinkan Station) to get off and walk to the centre, the only problem for who don’t quite understand Japanese is the tour is in Japanese, the only English part is the video they’ll show in the meeting room before the tour so you might need bring someone who can translate for you. I’m surprised that I was the only foreigner in all the visitors, they all Japanese visitors xP I can’t say I’m fully understand but I can understand 60% of the tour, except the history and who used the vehicle for what event xP Anyway, enjoy the photos xP
When you reach the booth at their main gate, show your tour confirmation to the staff, doesn’t matter the confirmation is a hard copy or on phone, the staff will tell you to take their bus, and the bus will take you to where the tour held x) Click here for the tour application (all in Japanese though >_<)
The only staff who can speak English there handed me the English version of the tour’s schedule, tour map and the heritage collection’s flyer, they’ll also give you a brooch as a gift that they randomly pick the picture x)
Tour start after the introduction video played in the meeting room.
Nissan Leaf Nismo Performance Package. I tested drive the normal Nissan Leaf at Electrikhana, speed wise was as good as petrol engine but I still prefer petrol engine for the real vehicle noise x’D
What’s in my head when every inch that gate rising was “Shyt just got real” hahahaha xP
The tour guide ladies end the introduction of the collections and let the visitors have their free time to have a fully browse and take photos, I straight away brisk walk back to check out the late 70’s collections to present’s section xP
Visitors have 45 mins of free time to have full browse of the whole collections, after times up or ready to leave even still got time, visitors will be asked to fill in the feedback at the end of the tour, don’t worry, they have a variety of different language’s version for non Japanese visitors x) After done my feedback and handed it to the staff at the counter, I try my luck on their capsule toys vending machine xP
Souvenirs for sale.
I was like “let’s see if I’m good luck enough to get a R35” then yup, it’s a R35 and another brooch xDD I then bought a souvenir gift pack for someone’s souvenir so yea xP It is well worth visit at there, I’m highly recommended everyone go check it out even if don’t understand Japanese xP So that’s all for today, see you guys on the next post! Ciao! xD
