Made Valentine’s Day dinner for JC and JC’s parents, double date? Hehe 😛

After posting a week worth of my Taipei trip blog posts, it’s time to put a side the rest of the trip posts and catch up a little bit of what I’m been up to lately. 🙂

This year is me and JC’s 5th Valentine’s Day but I planned to make some dinner and celebrate with him and his parents at his house, his mum also made something too hehe 🙂

Asian entree made by me, Gyoza and Steamed Chinese Cabbage Pork Rolls. The first time I made this Gyoza was almost 2 years ago, JC likes it so I decided to make it again 🙂 The recipe for the cabbage rolls was super easy, the filling are actually from the Gyoza, more detail below 😛

In the recipe for the Gyoza it says 250g of pork mince to make approximately 24 dumplings. But you can only find a pack of mince that weight 500g from most of the supermarket, so I decided to use up the whole pack, mix all the ingredient in it and divided half to 2 different dishes, which are the Gyoza and the rolls. For the Gyoza it required mix the green cabbage in the filling, but it will be a clash with the cabbage rolls so first I make the filling without the green cabbage. Once I done making the filling, I use half of the filling to wrap in the Chinese cabbage, then I follow the recipe to cook the green cabbage until it wilts and add it into the rest of the filling. To roll and cook the Chinese cabbage pork rolls, click here for the method 🙂

Dessert: Oreo Mille Crepe Cake from Eugenie Kitchen. Me and JC just found her youtube channel 2 days ago, we first was watching the rainbow heart cookies, we found her cooking interesting then we watched other video and found her Oreo Mille Crepe Cake xP

Done assembling! Wanted to cover them with the rest of the whipped cream just like how Eugenie’s mille crepe cake looks like but I like how mine turned out so I’ll just leave it like that, although I wish I can make them prettier hehe 😛
