Dinner at The Merrywell.

I’ve been watching some American food channel on TV and Youtube since ages ago so I’ve always wanted to go to a American diner style restaurant or anywhere has dude food in Perth.

I don’t remember how did I find out The Merrywell but as soon as they launched, I couldn’t wait to try their food out! As I’ve mention before about I can’t be bother to check out those new launches restaurants (or shops) because of the crowd so I’ve waited after 5-and-a-bit months from their opening (Mid of Sept 2012), I planned to go on the day before my birthday (Apr 2013), kind of special isn’t it? Haha xD

I think I had Mushroom Angus Burger (Brie, Balsamic Glaze, Truffle Aioli, Fries) that night, what I remember the most was the patties was huge and really juicy, I had to cut it in half to eat them and hold it with a serviette underneath so that the juice won’t run down from my hands every time I bite. Make sure you do that too when you’re going to have one of their burger 😛

I planned the second visit right after the first visit, that time was with my girl friends 😛 I don’t remember what’s the name of my dish but it was a 300g juicy Sirloin Steak with Blue Cheese sauce, Roasted Potatoes, Rocket Salad with shaved Parmesan Cheese with Balsamic Glaze. My friend, Alice, had the BBQ Prawn on skewer; Emily had the Mushroom Angus Burger that recommended by me 😛

The third visit was an impulsive decision 😛 One of my co-worker, Patty, was leaving Australia so I planned a dinner with her here, that was after 2 months from the second visit haha xP She had the Mushroom Angus Burger (yup, you know who recommended it haha xD) and I had the steak again coz I’m in love with the taste of the steak and blue cheese xP

I’m pretty sure there was a forth visit coz I was craving for the steak so I went back (with Emily) again but I noticed the name is different on the menu, I thought they just changed the name so I didn’t think much bout’ it. It also looks different when it came to the table, I still didn’t think much bout’ it till I ate it, then I realized that the cheese sauce wasn’t tasted like the Blue Cheese sauce that I had before, I was a little disappointed although it still taste good but I would prefer the Blue Cheese sauce :’)

Fifth visit was celebrating JC’s graduation on March of this year 🙂

Curious Peach (Rum, Peach Liquer, Earl Grey Tea and Lemon).

BBQ Pulled Pork Quesadilla (Avocado, Tomato and Lime Crema).

Merrywell Macho Nachos (BBQ Pulled Pork, Creamy Cheese Sauce, Pickled Jalapeño, Black Beans and Chipotle Sour Cream).

Korean BBQ Pork Rib with Aussie’s style Kimchi.

‘Shrimp on the barbie’ Prawn Skewer with Chimichurri sauce.

Seems like all these dishes that we had are only serve in Autumn (March – May) coz I don’t see them on their current menu, lucky that I have a backup post otherwise I don’t think I’d remember their names haha 😛

After these 2 blog posts about my favourite dude food restaurant, I can tell that I’ll start planning a dinner there any day from now hehe 😛 That’s all for today and see you guys on the next post, Light Up Leederville Carnival! Ciao! xD
