Back here for the second visit, and seriously, this is the second time that I had to undo my belt when I leave. Is that a good thing or bad thing? LOL! :’P
How was everyone’s weekend and Father’s Day? Hope you guys had a great time 🙂 Our plan for Father’s Day was supposed to go to the Araluen Botanic Park but the weather wasn’t ideal so we chillaxed at home till dinner time. Me, Isabelle (Sis-in-law) and Ricky (Bro) was thinking about taking our parents to our usual place to have dinner but we last minute decided to come to this Hong Kong style steak house. This is our second visit but first for the parents 😛
Nope, this is not an unusual scene for me whenever dinner out with my parents, and of course definitely a usual scene for some of you guys with your parents too lol 😛
We ordered 2 sets of dinner for two for sharing, each set comes with drinks, garlic bread, selection of 2 different soups, 2 different entrées, 2 main courses and 2 desserts.
I usually get Iced YuanYang (coffee with tea) at any Hong Kong style restaurant but they don’t have it so I got myself an Iced Milk Tea.
Borsch soup with 2 slices of garlic bread.
Creamy soup with 2 slices of garlic bread. I like their creamy soup. It’s super creamy and taste like corn soup; I can have that every day! 😛
Seafood Cocktail. Nothing really special, just a lil fancy-looking seafood salad in a martini glass. 🙂
Baked Garlic Mussels and pumpkin potato mash. Big, fat, cheesy, juicy mussels! xP
Cheesy Baked Seafood in White Sauce with Spaghetti. Last time I tried this with rice (it’s actually fried rice) and it was yum! With spaghetti it’s nice but I would prefer rice hehe xP What’s on there was 2 white fish fillet, and generous amount of big prawns and scallops 😛
We actually ordered 2 plates of Mix Grills which includes a pork chop, beef steak, a sausage and a chicken wing. 1 with mushroom sauce and another with pepper sauce, but the waiter wrote down the wrong order so we received 2 scotch fillet steaks. My parents and Isabelle don’t eat beef so me and Ricky had to take it, oh why the hell not? Hahaha xD Ricky took the one with mushroom sauce so I had no choice but to take the home made roast sauce (yup, that waiter made the mistake on the sauce option as well) That steak was soooooo tender and juicy; my knife just sliced through super easily that I didn’t even use much of strength. 😛
Last main course was Baked Rice with Ham and Chicken in White Sauce Combo with Spaghetti Bolognese. We were already so full from all the food before this one so we only managed to finish half of the rice, and then packed the rest of the rice and the whole spaghetti into take away containers.
And here are the complimentary desserts, they are tiramisu cakes. It was different desserts from the first time we came, we got pudding that time. 🙂
We all left with super full stomachs and satisfaction 😛 4 drinks, 2 seafood cocktails, 6 baked cheesy garlic mussels, 2 steaks, 1 baked cheesy seafood in white sauce with spaghetti, 1 baked cheesy ham and chicken with rice in white sauce and spaghetti bolognese, 4 desserts; a total bill of $120, divided by 5 of us, its $24 per person! 😛
I reckon their food is good, big portion and good in value. If anyone really wondering how much I mean by generous/big portion, you can see the portion of the half spaghetti that we couldn’t finish then ended up packed it into take away containers, absolutely no different to regular size of take away food. It is definitely an awesome steakhouse for people who are a tighta$$. 😛
This place doesn’t have their own website neither a Facebook, so help yourselves to check their full menu and more food pics on Urbanspoon. Thanks again for checking out my new post, and will see you guys in my Friday post. Ciao! 😀
